  Do Not Call Face No-Call List
Contact the no-call list for your your home and cell phones.  This decreases your chances of being contacted by telephone scam artists.  Visit online or call 1-888-382-1222.
  Credit Card Credit Report
Keep informed with what is going on with your own credit.  If you do not have access to the internet, call 1-877-322-8228.  Check your credit report BEFORE making a big purchase like a house or car so you can clear up any problems before applying for credit.  To report fraud contact one of the big three credit reporting agencies and a fraud alert will be forwarded to the other agencies:

  Mailbox Opt - Out
Reduce the amount of mail you receive by calling the national credit bureaus' opt-out line at 1-888-5-OPT-OUT (1-888-5-678-688) or visit them online. This action will reduce the number of pre-approved credit offers you will receive.

  2009 Internet Crime Report
According to a report produced by the Internet Crime Complaint Center, the FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center, Ohio is one of the top ten states for individual complaints of Internet fraud. In 2009 there were 336,655 complaints last year which was a 22.3% increase from 2008. The total loss from on-line fraud was $559.7 million in 2009 and $265,000 in 2008.

    Statistics - This is a link to the Ohio Department of Health, Office of Vital Statistics. You will find an Electronic Death Registration System (EDRS) that was launched on October 1, 2007 that will help you in your genelogical research. The data reporting system has improved the Departments ability to share information such as the Deceased Veteran's Report for the designation of members or former members of the armed services. To access the reports, click on the left main menu, "Reports, then Deceased Veterans Reports."  For further information, call their Support Site at (614) 752-5190 option 3.

Access Geauga
If you want information on existing gas wells in Geauga, start on Access Geauga. Put in a street number, hit enter, and chose your landowner. Or put in a landowner and choose your street. At the top of the page you will see a tab for "Map" - click on it. On the right hand side of the page type 6000 at "Scale," click on the layers and choose gas wells. A permit number will come up, add 34055 to the front of that number then go to the ODNR site referenced below and follow their directions to do a search. You can also use the "Pan Tool" in Access Geauga to find wells in the surrounding areas.
